achieving my dreams
though i've started on a contract 9am to 5pm job, it's still good for me. it's been almost 4 mths and i still look forward to going to the office and doing what i do. the journey to the office and back home is a journey i enjoy. if the office had not moved to ubi, a 45min bus ride, i would not have made time to read and enjoy the world around me. i would not have the free nights after work because i would have slot in work hours at sakae. i would also not be updating my blog now. :)
the best part of my bus ride? that would be when the bus turns into merpati road and out at circuit road. it's a short stretch that gives me a nostalgic feel. reminds me of my childhood at my granny's place, norfolk road. a quiet estate with neighbourhood folks sitting at the coffeeshop. maybe one of the mornings, i'll drop off there and sit with them before going to work. would be a great start for the day.
there is also a stand alone "bungalow" at 61 merpati road. looks empty. not sure if it's occupied. caught my attention because it's of a different decor from the rest of the buildings around it. makes me wonder what's in there and who was or is staying there. i'll keep wondering...
personal achievements:
- started sign language classes and taking exams on monday
- passed my exams to be a certified arts and crafts trainer... YES!! getting my cert soon
- going to the 3rd part of my bible studies... total of 10 parts
- finished a program for value investing... yet to put the skills to work for me
- finished a beading project i thought i'll never finish and starting on a second one!
random stuff:
- i miss sakae... the singing in the kitchen, the grumbling on the floor, the joy of finishing everything before 10.30pm
- i want to learn drawing
- i want to start dancing again
- i want to do more with the skills i have
- i want to make a difference
many many more but will do it one at a time and achieve them as i am led.
