very funny....

A boss wondered why one of his most valued employees had not phoned in sick one day. Having an urgent problem with one of the main computers, he dialed the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whisper.

"Hello?"

"Is your daddy home?" he asked.

"Yes," whispered the small voice.

"May I talk with him?"

The child whispered, " No."

Surprised and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is yourMommy there?"

"Yes."

"May I talk with her?"

Again the small voice whispered, "No."

Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the boss asked, "Is there anybody else there?"

"Yes," whispered the child, "a policeman ".

Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?"

"No, he's busy ", whispered the child.

"Busy doing what?"

"Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the Fireman, " came the whispered answer.

Growing more worried as he heard a loud noise in the background through the earpiece on the phone, the boss asked, "What is that noise?"

"A helicopter " answered the whispering voice.

"What is going on there?" demanded the boss, now truly apprehensive.

Again, whispering, the child answered, "The search team just landed a helicopter."

Alarmed, concerned and a little frustrated the boss asked, "What are they searching for?"

Still whispering, the young voice replied with a muffled giggle...

"ME"

oh boy....what to expect from a kid. hahahahahahaha.....poor adults.

update on projects....

sewing up a crocheted hello kitty soft toy for a customer - done
have got another earring and a bracelet to repair - done
have got a knitted bag to finish - done
given a half done vest and another half done sweater to complete
doing a wavy bracelet for sample as have had quite a few requests to teach that design - done
order of pearl necklace with crystal cross pendant - done
must finish a proposal for funds to start something that i have in mind
must make appt with someone i intend to work with
another bracelet to repair

ok...now for what i feel like saying.

i have become just a provider.....lousy wife and mother. why? because messy house with uninvolved occupants. am i ok as long as i bring in the bacon, get dinner and not talk too much?? what happened to family? it doesn't exist anymore. personal activities have taken over everything....dance, computer, church and an obsession with who knows what.

random post

at sentosa now. feeling very "resort" sitting here in the e-corner waiting for things to get done. came to do a meeting setup, to make sure things are in order. feeling hungry now because didn't have breakfast yet. prob go straight for lunch after i leave here hopefully soon.

what have i been doing besides craft sessions and work?

finished knitting a long, long scarf
repaired a pair of earrings
went for a silver clay lesson and made myself a beautiful silver ring

so many many many things to do. *sigh* must also learn how to take nice pictures. either that or find someone to help me take them otherwise doesn't do justice to the items leh. any volunteers??
