time to update
it's been a long long time. many interesting things have been happening. :)
- sakae sushi - still fun to work in. hmm...the aunties can be grumpy at times but then they don't mean any harm. guess it's their way of destressing.
- went back to bp on contract to do phase 2 of a project - it's great to be back with friends i've known for over 20 years.
- remember the one day workshop in my last post? guess what - someone called and asked if i'd like to be part of their 3-day programme. i am so excited abt this. it's just what i've been visualising for the past year, combining crafts with entrepreneur skills. have to figure out what to propose. better start working on the options. happy happy...
- just last week - got enquiry to conduct a 2-hr christmas workshop for the office. 15 to 20 pax...have to think of what the guys can work on. was reminded of something i learnt when working on this proposal... "ask the right questions". this is necessary to know the customers' needs. my initial assumption was that it's an all female thing and everyone's doing one same item. speaking to the person-in-charge and asking questions put everything into perspective and now i know her expectations and will be able to work out a more relevant proposal. this will have to be finalised soon for submission to management for approval.
- service was great and amazing as always and i am looking forward to Asia Conference. made a decision to go for water baptism and have decided on the ministry i want to be in - community service/hearing impaired. have always wanted to contribute and make a difference in that area but never knew where to start. this is an opportunity and i am sure it will be the start of many good things to come. i want to be able to communicate with them, to share and learn together and to reach a wider audience with my handicrafts. i want to be able to teach in their language. it will be a milestone for me and another step closer to reaching my dream - a place where everyone and anyone can come to learn and share anything under the sun.
- arise and build - i know my limits but i also know my talents and gifts. i shall not focus on my limitations but on what i can offer. praying abt it and have got some idea of what i can do but need a clearer direction. i get really excited everytime i think abt it. you know the feeling of knowing and not knowing at the same time? aiyoh...terrible. want to go somewhere and sit there just working on it till everything is in place. can i do that? what if it takes days and weeks to work things out?? don't need to eat and sleep already. i'll get this right. i know i will be led by the Holy Spirit to do what's right. i will i will i will.
- just today, after service - another request for quotation!! yes...the Lord provides all and more. with the right source, it will be a net profit of between $150 to $250 just for this transaction. all this from an initial goodwill transaction of $18 net profit.
- what did i get from today's sermon - with the Father, all things are possible. seek first the kingdom of God and everything will fall in place.
- what else do i have in mind? hmm...many interesting and exciting stuff i'd like to do. shall update again when i get to them. one thing at a time. life is never boring when you find the joy in all that you set out to do. it becomes an adventure.
i want to do more, i want to do much more, i want to be able to do much much more. in God's time, i will. He has never failed me and He never will....i have learnt to walk in faith and live by faith. i will be prepared and ready when the time comes to follow and obey.
