the dancer in the family...
went for my daughter's dance concert on 18 march and i really loved it. we were initially sitting at the top section where we see movement and enjoy the dances. it was quite ok and my daughter's friend got us these front seats! we were like the 4th or 5th row and now it's not just watching and enjoying the dance. it's FEELING the moves. whoa...it just gets right in to the whole being. to be upfront and to be able to see the looks on the dancers' faces and watch every muscle move they make, makes all the difference to the whole experience. up there, it's just watching and enjoying. down here, it's feeling and experiencing the performance as a whole.
the dancers were just great. can see them panting when they freeze but the moment it's their cue to move again, the energy they exude is amazing. how can they do dance after dance and still have so much energy to last the whole 3 hours? yes, they have breaks in between. still, it takes lots of commitment and passion for the sport to be able to last 3 hours and to be able to remember the steps to so many songs. the fun they are having and the sense of pride and achievement show in all their faces, every single one of them. thank you all for a wonderful night.
...love these pics.
