when very very young...play is everything
when very young...school is everything
when a teenager...friends are everything
when older...work is everything
after that...then realise family shd have been everything
for some they stayed at the "work" part and never got further. they either lose themselves or don't make it that far. so....don't delay the "family" part. start today and make it everyday.

abt grudges and decisions and money
"don't carry on a grudge because it kills your soul"...from A Simple Life... an old man's advise to Paris and Nicole. something to learn and work on.
someone asked me how i keep myself going. my answer "the Lord's been good to me and He will take care of me. He has never failed me. as long as i am willing to help myself, i know He will be there waiting for me. that's my faith and trust in Him. i believe too that the universe has got enough of everything for everyone. everything is in abundance. it's all about the mindset. what you believe yourself to be, you will be. what you give will be given back many many times...i follow my heart and am at peace with myself".
money is everything? no. not losing yourself is everything. many lose themselves to a job, to a relationship, to many things they believe is the whole world, things they believe they can't live without. what use are all these when you can't be who and what you are and want to be or when you don't know who you are? work on them but have your own pride and individuality. you are you. no one can make you change unless you want to. always enjoy and love what you are doing. working for the money? nothing wrong with that, just have to make sure you like what you do and it is adding value to your life. quote from Seducing Mr Perfect..."behave like trash and you will be treated like trash". so love yourself, know you are special and never lose yourself. can't live without money? agree but you can also live without it. think abt it. money is not the all-important and all-necessary thing you must have.

one of the more eventful days...
- Boys' Brigade Enrolment Day - Jeremy's being enrolled into BB. he looked really good in the uniform. didn't bring my cam so will have to wait for some photos, if any, from the school. anyway, it was a funny "night before" of trying the uniform, getting into the pants and struggling with getting his boots off after everything. must say he's got the sexiest butt with those tight pants. shd i go get a bigger pair for him? haha...maybe i wouldn't.
- memorable day for Nicholas (my nephew) who got enrolled as assistant leading boy, has his face on the big screen in front of everyone and got commended for his team's spirit of perseverence in the Adventure Quest.
- got to my second session of "void deck get-together" at blk 608 clementi west st 1 with the shop's customers...a great time of learning and sharing of all thing crafty :) - knitting, crochet, jewellery making and anything of interest...then........my bag got stolen.
what i missed most in my bag....the cards and little notes given to me by my kids. they always make me all sentimental. something i carry with me everywhere and look at every now and then to feel the warmth when they're not with me.
what else is irreplaceable?? some stuff that belong to customers...stuff that was sent to me for repairing. how???? will i get them back? don't know. i'm leaving it in the Lord's hands. whatever has to happen will happen. i'll have to move forward and do whatever i can.

must share this...the hottest thing in town
when i first heard abt this, i was like "WOW, this has got to be the hottest thing in town!" and i'm sure it will be. it's ....
LAPTOP SKINS!!!there are so many designs to choose from and they are all so beautiful. there has got to be one for everyone. we carry our laptops with us...in schools, in the office, at cafes, everywhere. it is part of us and what better way to express ourselves than with a laptop skin.

"A few days ago I was having some work done at my local garage. A blonde came in and asked for a seven-hundred-ten. We all looked at each other and another customer asked, "What is a seven-hundred-ten?" She replied, "You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine, I have lost it and need a new one.." She replied that she did not know exactly what it was, but this piece had always been there. The mechanic gave her a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like. She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710. He then took her over to another car which had its hood up and asked "is there a 710 on this car?" She pointed and said, "Of course, its right there.""

clarity is power - more clarity is more power
finally packed up the shop on 28 feb 2007. thanks to all who have helped. surprisingly not as many stuff as i expected to be brought home. was expecting to have no more walking space.
have to find other ways of doing things now. clarity is power. knowing what my customers want will help me decide on what's next. what better way than to hear it from them? what i gathered...their immediate concern is guidance to continue their projects - given them assurance that i'll be contactable via e-mail and handphone, regular meetups is another possibility. the other concern is convenience of ordering and receiving stocks - suppliers has agreed to still supply and do delivery to convenient venue, very grateful to them for that as delvery schedules to me becomes more adhoc. thanks. :)
the challenge - to provide the same level of convenience for our customers. probably arrange the first meetup in another week or two and see how it goes. will be leaving it to the universe and follow the flow.
thanks to the whole bunch of customers who have become friends. i'll be back.
