got the goodie bag for the Stan Chart run yesterday. nice tees from adidas and mizuno, a pack of spaghetti and some other stuff. didn't look at all of them yet. the bag's also nice.
helped out at the briefing and giving out of goodie bags...so nice to see so many ppl.
now it's sinking in, the run is this sunday!! how?? no practice. aiyoh....dunno how to finish 10km. :(
anyway, had two 3-hour jewelry making sessions at the girl guide association and we really had a great time. everyone's really creative. the younger ones even came up with their own designs. here's a picture from one of the groups - thanks to one of the guiders.
as usual, i forgot my camera again...*sigh*

not now...because i'm locked in from from 8am to 6pm. have made the decision so will work around it....but some things just can't wait.
i need to be connected to everything....with my soul, with the universe, with the industry, with my family and friends.
must find time to sit down somewhere, close my eyes and hear the sounds and feel the wind...need to find myself again. this job is killing me...

some ppl are just so .... arrgghhhhh
had dinner with a friend on friday night at vivo city. the place is really super crowded. almost every food place is packed with ppl eating and queueing and walking and standing behind tables waiting to pounce the moment the occupiers start to shift and zoom in the moment they leave. stood there watching while waiting for my friend. it is entertaining when i'm not part of the whole scene.
anyway, there was this really insensitive incident that got on my nerves. 2 ladies with a small boy were seated at the Banquet (halal food court) because the Kopitiam is just too crowded. This lady sat there but don't want to order from there. I was in total shock to see her carry a plate of hor fun over from the Kopitiam!! what happened?
1. the cleaner stopped her from going in, she walked past the cleaner and sat down at the table
2. someone in charge came and spoke to her, signalling that signs are put up at the entrance, she ignored him
3. someone of higher authority came and spoke to her, she just refused to move and continued eating
what is this?! where is her respect for others? what lesson is she teaching the small boy who's with her? i would have gone up and taken the plate of food away from her if i had stood there any longer to watch.
disappointment...a well dressed adult, assumed educated office personnel with no brains. shame on her...arrogant brat.

NRA danzation 2006
the dance production was a blast. it's WOW, WOW and WOW....though a little too long. after the break, just wish the MCs will stop talking and carry on with the show - sorry. however overall, it was a really good performance. all the hard work had paid off.
oh yes, the band performing at the end of the concert was just fantastic. something different and very, very entertaining. great music.
Stef, i'm so proud of you. now you can do salsa even better than me!!! i'm so glad i was there. i'm sure everyone else felt the same. :)

all burnt up
spent an hour at the waterfront of vivo city during lunchtime yesterday.... hot and sweaty but the sea breeze just feels so good. didn't feel like eating so sat there by the sea, working out my notes and errands and read the news. before i knew it, the skin on my shoulders were burning. can feel the pain now.
burnt on the outside yesterday and burnt as well on the inside today. looks like i worried the whole night and day for nothing other than getting myself into so much pain. should have just kept to my own independent self and not try to "make the first move". whatever i did out of care and concern is obviously not what is needed. *sigh* time to heal again.

yippee for young entrepreneurs
this is welcoming news. 18 year olds can officially be their own boss now. the minimum age to register a company has been brought down from 21 years old to 18 years old. don't need to use your parent's or auntie's or uncle's name anymore. with so many young ppl starting their own ventures even while they are still in school, i am sure this will spur them on to do better. no matter what, it feels good to be working on something to call your own.
