the young never fail to amaze...these are observations from my experiences facilitating workshop for 14 and 15 year olds. i must say the younger ones are just as amazing. the entrepreneur workshop that i was facilitating last week for 10 year olds shows just that. it was the first time experiencing it with primary school kids. they think differently but with guidance, they can come up with just as amazing ideas. it was really fun. of course there were the few mischevious ones and some pampered ones but overall they were very receptive and co-operative.

enjoyed myself tremendously and there are many things we as adults can learn from the kids. don't worry be happy.

just had 2 days of facilitating an entrepreneur workshop for a group of 15-year-olds. they are full of surprises. this being the 3rd time for me in different schools and i can say that the young ones are just amazing. they are happy to be just themselves, so genuine and candid at times. no worries about what others will think of them. why the change when we get older? aren't we supposed to be wiser and smarter? hmmm...something to think about and reflect on. have we forgotten who we are and what having fun is all about? *sigh*

anyway, will be facilitating the workshop for a group of 10-year-olds. will be interesting to see how it goes with the younger ones.

aren't they beautiful? these came out of saturday's whole day session at Vicky's place. there are many more but no pictures taken. Vicky even gave some away on the same day or the next day! this is what "hot from the oven" means.

the pieces on display now are from Corrine. the quiet one who was sitting there watching all of us and browsing through the books. then when she starts - nobody can stop her! haha... moral of the story? take your time, know what you want and the rest is easy.

everyone, faster faster take pictures and post them. ok?

so many uncertainties, so many inconsistencies, so many broken relationships, so many uncompleted tasks. have to get all these fixed. must get things back on track.

btw, had a great weekend -

friday with the kids at the children's birthday party was really great fun. they made really beautiful bracelets.

whole of saturday at Vicky's place was inspiring. there were so many creative ideas going round. too bad i didn't bring my camera along. however, some pictures were taken. will post once i get them. Shirley, faster faster, send them out. hope to have another of this session. anyone prepared to open up their homes for a craft party next month?

most part of sunday was spent at fort canning. a bazaar was held in conjunction with a mother's day brunch that they have. went to the shop after that and had a great time doing up the jewellery display section that my mum set aside for me. after that it was to my mum's place for dinner. the children were so very cute. noisy but fun to watch. it is always fun to gather together.

friday - children's party

there were seven 9 year olds who did beautiful bracelets for themselves and some for their mums. it was really fun.


saturday - craft house party

looking forward to this party at a friend's place. there will be a variety of crafts going on but from the looks of it, jewellery making is going to take centre stage. it will be a whole day of sharing creative ideas.


sunday - a 3-hour bazaar at the Legends, Fort Canning Hill. not sure what the event is just that can only bring handmade jewellery to sell. assisting another jewellery making teacher who had the booth but has to be out of town.


it will be a great weekend.

...Self-Pity

some weeks back got myself in there and probably acted without thinking *sigh* casting doubts on my character. i'll have to learn from this experience and make an effort to have a clear mind at all times. this will not be easy as humans are full of emotions and being a "feeling" person, it's going to be tough...BUT not impossible.

SHALL NOT DO ANYTHING THAT I WILL REGRET ON REFLECTION.

knowing yourself is the most powerful tool for everyone because this gives self-confidence and with confidence, one can achieve anything he or she sets out to do. one other thing to be clear about in all that you do is the INTENTION. the intention has to be right for things to fall in place. adding value is key to all transactions.

all these were revised last night when i went down to do support for a program that i attended last year. the program has propelled me to take action on some of the ideas i have had for many years. things i have always wanted to do but hesitated because of fear of the uncertain. haha...realised there is nothing to fear at all. we all learn from experience, don't try, don't know, right? so like NIKE says - just do it. must do it with preparation though. learn from others who have done it and think of how you can do it better and of course, it helps to have mentors. this is the Entrepreneur Action Program. anyone interested to know more? give me a call.

while the above program gave me confidence, there is one other program i have to give credit to that gave me lots of clarity. it has given me so much clarity on what i want to achieve. all i need to do now is to set goals along the way to reach there. this is the Money and You Program. check out the link on the left.

she did back up dancing for 3 singers - stefanie sun (1st video), guo mei mei (2nd video) and a malay singer (3rd video). she's the one with the big hairdo on the right of the screen. can only see the hair and not the face. haha...so funny. the closest will be in the 2nd video on the big screen behind the singer, somewhere in the middle of the song, she more or less filled up the whole screen!

another dance class coming. yippee yippee yippee!!!

anyone interested? they have free intro lessons on sundays. just need to buy a drink for $7. let me know if want to go and i will arrange to accompany you there. it's at chinatown. oh yes, it's salsa dance. it's a partner dance but don't need to bring partner because we dance on rotation.

was going to load the wedding set in the last post but realised the picture is not very clear. will take again and post another time.

from last friday till now, i've completed many, many tasks.

last friday's session at nanyang primary was really fun. many have started doing their own designs and it will be wirework for the next session. it will also be wirework for my session at harbourfront...will have to go get stocks for pendants and donuts for everyone. i'll have to make some more samples as i sold both of my wirework pendants over the weekend - Touch of Romance and Denim Classic. maybe i'll go and take back one that i left with my friend.

saturday and sunday at the shop were amazing...some more guys came in to learn knitting and crochet! i've got 4 guys in a month and they sure are fast learners. very easy to teach.

jewellery making scene - a customer came to collect her orders of crystals and pins and stuff, i completed a wedding set, a bracelet and some rings, finished stock taking and have people asking for school holiday programs in june. have to start thinking about that now.

really enjoy teaching.
